Account and IDs
Three IDs, three jobs.
What's the difference between display name, friend ID, and player ID?
Your display name appears above your posts. It can be duplicated with others and can be changed every 48 hours.
Your friend ID (Name#1234) is the ID you give to others. It's unique and can be changed once every twelve months.
Your player ID is a long number that never changes. Game servers and support recognize you by it — not by your name. When you write to us, include it: it's the only detail that still holds true after a rename.
Why can't I log in with my name?
Because both names can be changed. If someone drops a name and another person takes it, no one could be sure who's actually logging in with it. That's why you log in with email and password only.
My friend ID's name can't contain digits?
Correct. The name before the hash uses only the letters A to Z (no umlauts) and is 3 to 20 characters long. Digits only appear after the hash. Otherwise Wolf1#0010 and Wolf#10010 would be two different IDs you couldn't tell apart when read aloud.
Verification: IDs #0000 to #0009
Reserved for people who really are who they're taken for.
Who gets an ID like this?
Creators, influencers, teams, press, and the team itself. The bar isn't fame but risk of confusion: if others could be mistaken for you under your name, this ID exists to settle that.
How do I prove it's me?
Easiest through a channel that's provably yours: post from your verified account on another platform mentioning this application, and link that post in your application. That gets it checked in a minute instead of a week.
Also works: press articles, an imprint with your name on it, or an email from a domain you own.
What if the name is already taken?
Then it belongs to whoever has it. Verification doesn't take anyone's ID away — it assigns a reserved number to an available name. If that combination is already taken, the application doesn't go through.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The only thing that costs anything is an extra change to your friend ID within the twelve-month window — that has nothing to do with verification.
Bans
I'm banned. Now what?
Your account shows what's banned, why, and until when. Bans can cover your whole account, just the forum, a single game, or one server.
If you think it's a mistake, send a ticket with your player ID. A ban only gets lifted if it was wrong — not because someone asks.
Can I get rid of a ban by deleting my account?
No. Deleting your account leaves behind a record that prevents exactly that: your old player ID, the timestamp, and a checksum of your email address. The address itself can't be recovered from it.
Your data
What's stored about me?
You can get all of it as a file: Download your data. No request needed, no waiting.
I want to delete my account.
On the same page. Deletion is immediate and permanent; your forum posts stay up, but without your name — removing them would leave holes in conversations other people took part in.
Which devices am I logged in on?
That's under Devices, with a button to end individual sessions or all of them.
